Weihnachtsspenden 2011-12-18

Das "Futterhaus Moers" hat eine schöne Weihnachtsspenden-Aktion durchgeführt.Es wurde ein Tannenbaum aufgestellt, geschmückt mit Fotos der Tiere, die beschenkt werden können.Die Kunden haben dann die Möglichkeit die Geschenke für "ihren Liebling" unter den Baum zu legen. Karin Gehrmann hat für animalcare Samos den Baum mit "geschnückt". Wir freuen uns über die zahlreichen Päckchen, die den Tieren im Tierheim zugute kommen. Lieben Dank dafür !

Animal Clinic Den Herd / Mariëtte Laugeman, thanks again! 2011-09-01

We have adopted two dogs from ACS: Pepper (in 2008) and Kokkari (in 2010). Pepper could suddenly not pee on New Year’s Day 2010 when we were on holiday in Overijssel (the Netherlands). He had bladder stones, life threatening when the urethra gets blocked. A veterinarian in Hoogeveen did immediate surgery. Unfortunately Pepper saw the opportunity to bite in the wound while recovering from the operation. This is why the bypass did not function well anymore. We immediately went home with Pepper and looked for a clinic which is well known and which had the knowledge and materials to resolve this difficult situation. On their free Sunday, Mariette Laugeman of Animal Clinic Den Herd in Tilburg, together with her husband, gave Pepper a repair operation to the bladder and the bypass. This appeared to be successful and Pepper has been healthy for already 1.5 years now. Since we have told Mariëtte about Pepper’s background, she supports ACS with medicine/equipment for animal care. Every time we go back to Samos to help the ACS-shelter as volunteers during our holiday, her clinic Den Herd prepares a box with stuff that we can take to Samos with us. During our last working holiday (last August), we got for example a box with anti-fleas/ticks fluids. In this way we want to thank Mariette and all the staff of Animal Clinic Den Herd for their support to ACS, great. We hope that you want to continue your contribution to the care of the dogs and cats on Samos for a long time. Erik & Karin

It is always very nice to know that even it is wintertime people still think of the dogs and cats here in Samos. And not only the dogs and the cats, the volunteers from Animal Care Samos are also not forgotten!To see what is all collected and donated really cheers us up!! Thanks Thea for the giant food donation 2010-08-12

Also this time we like to say thanks to Thea van Heeswijk and all the other people from Arnhem who donated the dog and cat food to Animalcare Samos. The food is at this moment more than welcome because there are 62 dogs and 35 cats to taking care off. The food will arrive on Samos at the second week of September. Thanks again Thea for your help to help the animals off Samos. Also thanks to Nick how collected the food from Thea.

Thanks Mariëtte Laugeman for the donated medicynes. ACS like to say thanks for the donation of Mariëtte Laugeman from animal clinic Den Herd in Tilburg. Volunteers Karin and Erik visited the clinic with there Samos dog Pepper, and they start talking about there volunteers work in the holiday’s they have at the dogshelter on Samos. Mariëtte was very interested and want to know more about it and decided to donate a box full with medicines. She did this already two times the last months. Thanks for this great gift.
