As in any other part of Greece, stray dogs and cats are still a problem on Samos.
They mostly live in the mountains close to the villages or army camps, in summertime they usually come down to the major touristic areas to search for food.
Many of these animals are hungry or are otherwise ill. So, especially in wintertime, when attention of tourists is missing and food is running short, most of these animals lead a dangerous and miserable life.
To prevent this situation from escalating and help the animals of Samos these pages were created.
